Beach mini-session - Kim Lind family photography

I just can't stay away...I love the beach!  I did my last (well...maybe!) round of beach mini-sessions for the year in Capitola last weekend.  I don't think I've ever experienced the same weather twice at a beach session.  This day was warm but mostly cloudy, with just a little peek here and there at some blue skies.  But blue skies couldn't have make this little one any cuter!

She can fly!

I love black and white and sepia-toned photographs that show emotion, and these next two I've converted to sepia just to mix it up a bit.  In the first one, I love how the the little one is cracking up about something and mom looks so happy.  In the last one, I love the close up of her cute sand-speckled face.  She's looking at the ocean with worried eyes because a big waved frightened her.   But a kiss from mom can make it all better.  So sweet! 

Six months and growing fast! - Kim Lind family photography

Little baby "C" is not so little anymore!  When I last photographed him, he was just a tiny guy and now he's crawling and standing...and at only 6 months old!   Must be all the tricks he learns from his big 3 year old brother.  We had a great session last Saturday morning despite the rainy, stormy start.  The skies cleared just in time for our session and this family was all smiles.

  

Charity raffle - everybody wins! - Kim Lind Danville family photography

This family session was super casual and lots of fun, just how I like it!  Mom won a a session at a charity party where I donated a raffle prize to help support the San Francisco Avon 3-Day walk for breast cancer. They won a free session, and I won because not only did I get to spend a fun and easy-going hour with a great family, I also helped a cause that's very important to me.

Brentwood mini-sessions, part 2

Here's the sneak peek at the rest of the Brentwood mini-sessions.  I did four 1/2 hour morning sessions and four 1/2 hour late afternoon sessions - one day, 8 sessions!  I loved every minute of it, thanks to everyone who came out.  You'll be getting links to your online galleries this week!

 

Brentwood mini-sessions, part 1

Thanks to all the families that came out last weekend for two sets of mini-sessions!  Mini-sessions are 1/2 hour quick sessions done on location.  My usual sessions typically have 45++ edited photos in their gallery, and minis are about half of that.   They're great for busy families! I'll be scheduling more mini-sessions for fall/holiday in October and November.  Keep and eye on my website or contact me for dates and details!

Sweet Southern Sisters | Kim Lind Photography on-location in Lebanon,TN

Last weekend I went to Nashville and was thrilled to be able to do a session with my cousin's family.  Big sister Ava is turning 4 in just a few weeks and baby Alaina is just 7 weeks old.  It was so much fun to do this session on their family farm, complete with a red barn, cows and even llamas.  

We started out by the barn for Ava's 4-year-old portraits.   This little one knows how to work it!  

My husband calls these "Tennessee eyes."  Blue and sparkly and the kind that can melt your heart.  Oh yeah, she's got 'em.

And just because portraits don't need to be all smiles, here's one I really love.  

  

Three generations of women, all gorgeous!  

After spending some time outside with the family, we came indoors for the newborn photos. We started out with the skin shots, because what's better than a naked baby??  Then we got fancy with her Christening gown.

 

Love this one!

The window light in her room was perfect.  I love how it's highlighting the top of her, like a little angel.

 

I think she looks like a little doll in this one.  So happy and content in her mama's arms...the perfect spot.  

Carleen and Alexio - Engaged! - San Francisco Engagement Photography by Kim Lind

I had the pleasure to do an engagement session with the most happy, fun, and sexy couple the other day...Carleen and Alexio.  We had a great time on a perfectly clear San Francisco afternoon,  starting out along the Embarcadero and ending up at Baker Beach.  Here's a sneak peek!

Here they are along the Embarcadero, where they could steal a few quick quiet moments in the hustle and bustle of a busy part of town.

This day was absolutely gorgeous, they don't get much better.  Then when you put a sexy, fun and happy couple in the mix...perfection!

LOVE this one...and what's so great is the rest of the series where they get wet!  So hard to narrow it down to just a few favorites when a session goes this good!

At this point they were already wet so why not go all out for a silhouette shot? And it was so worth it - I love this photo!  Thanks for a great day Carleen and Alexio!
